About the project
Up and down, and in the end it´s only round and round

This striking photographic art series explores the fluidity and freedom of the human form, using swimmers navigating the tranquil waters of a pool as its central subject. Devoid of any distinct orientation or sense of up or down, the captivating images challenge the viewer's perception, blurring the lines between what is considered "right-side up" and "upside down." The swimmers, their bodies gracefully suspended in the weightless medium, appear to defy gravity as they twist, turn, and contort, creating an ethereal, dreamlike quality. Through this innovative approach, the artist invites the audience to let go of preconceived ideas about spatial awareness and immerse themselves in a visual experience that is both visually striking and conceptually profound. By erasing the boundaries of orientation, the series celebrates the human body's innate ability to adapt and thrive in unconventional environments, offering a poignant commentary on our capacity to transcend limitations and embrace the boundless possibilities that lie beyond the confines of our familiar frames of reference.
